Made in Group has announced the Great 100 2025, celebrating the business leaders, mentors and community champions who are ‘Backing Britain’ and helping British manufacturers grow and succeed.
The Great 100 recognises individuals who are making a real difference – creating jobs, supporting local suppliers, driving innovation, promoting sustainability, and helping young people start careers in manufacturing.
Jason Pitt, CEO of Made in Group, said: “We created the Great 100 to shine a national spotlight on the people who keep our incredible manufacturing sector moving. These awards celebrate those who are Backing Britain every day through hard work, collaboration and a commitment to industry excellence.

“These 100 unsung heroes are helping to build stronger, more resilient businesses, supporting communities and inspiring others. Through the Great 100, we want their stories to be heard across the country so everyone can understand the vital role they play.”
The Great 100 2025 cohort includes business owners and directors, team leaders, apprentices, educators and industry ambassadors – reflecting the full spectrum of people driving progress.
The awards celebration took place at the Century Club in Soho, immediately following Made in Group’s Westminster Parliamentary Reception, hosted by Lord Whitby of Harborne, Chairman of Made in Group.

At the reception, more than 120 Made in Group members and supporters called on the government to support British manufacturers with fairer procurement policies and a national Buy British approach, giving domestic businesses meaningful opportunities to compete for public contracts.

Lord Whitby presented the awards, praising the Great 100 for their enduring commitment, leadership and positive impact in their businesses and communities. The evening also featured a performance by award-winning comedian Tom Ward, rounding off an uplifting celebration of British manufacturing talent.
Over the next 12 months, the Great 100 honourees will have the opportunity to share their personal story – the challenges they have faced, their achievements and their vision for the future – helping the wider public understand the people behind the products they use every day.
The Great 100 is part of Made in Group’s ongoing ‘Backing Britain’ campaign, which champions individuals who:
- Create jobs and grow UK-based businesses
- Support young people starting careers in manufacturing
- Innovate to improve products and processes
- Promote British industry across the country
These values underpin the programme and guide who is recognised each year. Nominations for the Great 100 2026 will open in March 2026.
Representing manufacturing and engineering businesses across the Midlands, Yorkshire and the South West, Made in Group is the UK’s fastest growing membership network, with 85% of members being owner-managed small and medium-sized enterprises.
